USB INSTALLATION WITH WINDOWS 7

 

[You will need a working computer with Windows installed and a 2GB+ USB Stick.]

 

• Insert the 2GB Stick in your Windows computer.

 

• Open a command prompt. [Start » Run » CMD » Hit ENTER]

 

• Type :

DISKPART
LIST DISK (note the number of your USB drive at this point)
SELECT DISK X (X is the drive number you noted above)
CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
SELECT PARTITION 1
ACTIVE
FORMAT
ASSIGN
EXIT

 

• Extract the Eee7.ISO to a folder of your Desktop.
• Copy the contents of that folder to your USB Stick.
• Insert your USB Stick on the EeePC and boot from it. (Press ESC and select the USB Stick)
• Install it as you would be doing it with a normal CD.

 

• Enjoy Eee7, the state-of-the-art lite Windows !
